"The tour was great." Those were the first words of Michele Eray, conquered the South African Formentera yesterday with his kayak in the women.

After crossing the finish line said "Formentera is a fantastic place to host these competitions," and emphasized the beauty of the place and its waters.

Barry Lewin, a fellow at Rice, came in second place and did not hesitate to congratulate and give as fair winner Sean Rice joked that despite the fatigue accumulated by the ordeal.

One of the things that were charged and all paddlers was the extreme heat they endured during the test. Both Rice and Michele Eray and Lewin commented that "it was very hot." No doubt a handicap for canoeists and a further incentive for the competition as constantly heard was everyone's liking.
